Brian O’Kelly is a Seattle-area photographer making Pacific Northwest stills and fine art prints — landscapes, seascapes, wildlife, and the city after dark. This site is for viewing curated work and buying open-edition prints. It is not a wedding, event, or custom-shoot studio.

For over thirty years Brian and his camera have been nearly inseparable. As an avid outdoorsman, most of the work comes from the Cascades, Puget Sound, and the road in between — often after long approaches in weather that may or may not cooperate.

Newspaper roots

In the early 1980s O’Kelly studied journalism and photographed local news in Orange County, California. He moved to the Seattle area in 1984 and continued newspaper work. In 1993 he covered the Timber Summit when President Clinton visited Portland. In 1999 he documented the WTO protests in Seattle.

Fine art photography

O’Kelly approaches landscape and wildlife as gifts of light, composition, and patience — predawn drives, scouting, and backpack miles for a few frames that earn a place on the wall. Archival open-edition prints are fulfilled through Fine Art America / Pixels.
